Harvelle's

A Prohibition-era blues singer opened Harvelle's in 1931 as a dry supper club on 4th Street, and it now bills itself as the oldest live music venue on the Westside. Ike Turner once showed up with his whole band and asked to sit in, Keb' Mo' worked the bar for two years before his career took off, and Vintage Trouble played their first-ever gig on its stage. There's no kitchen, but the Paco Taco vendor sets up out back several nights a week.
