The Little Door

A pair of French-born brothers, Frederic and Nicolas Meschin, converted a former schoolhouse on West 3rd Street into The Little Door in 1996, splitting it into four rooms they call the Blue Room, the Winter Garden, the Piano Room, and the Patio. Fountains, trees, and a retractable glass roof over the Patio have appeared on screen in Monster-in-Law, and the kitchen serves a French-Mediterranean menu that runs from a foie gras torchon on truffle brioche to a pancetta-wrapped filet mignon with balsamic demi-glace.
