Claudio, a former sommelier at Michelin-starred restaurants before he opened wine bars in San Francisco, runs this Arts District spot with his partner Yan, who designed the room to trade the neighborhood's usual industrial look for the colors of coastal Italy. The kitchen turns out Roman-style pinsas on dough fermented for three days, alongside charcuterie, cheese boards and a focaccia sandwich, backed by a wine list leaning organic and biodynamic. A daily aperitivo hour rotates through spritzes, among them a negroni sbagliato.
