Karen Hansen, who grew up in Denmark, opened this Culver City shop in 2012 as the city's first authentic Danish pastry bakery. Dough for its kringles and other pastries is rolled with butter between 27 layers, most often filled with almond paste, though apple, raspberry, poppy, coconut, and chocolate versions also appear. A rye bread studded with flax seeds, rye berries, and sunflower seeds rounds out the case alongside the pastries.
