Mission Bay holds San Diego's largest marine park, built around orca and dolphin shows alongside coasters like Emperor, whose 143-foot drop is the steepest of any dive coaster in California, and the manta-inspired Manta ride with its own 54-foot plunge over a 100,000-gallon touch-pool habitat. Sea lions headline an evening show built on comic timing rather than straight tricks, and the Skytower lifts riders 320 feet up for a six-minute loop over the bay. A 280,000-gallon shark tank with a 57-foot acrylic tunnel and a jellyfish gallery round out the walk-through side of the park.
