Hennessey’s Tavern

Paul Hennessey, a former Wall Street trader, opened the first Hennessey's Tavern in Hermosa Beach in 1976, and the chain has since grown to ten Southern California locations, including this one on Roosevelt Street in Carlsbad Village. The pub serves breakfast on top of its regular lunch and dinner menu, with both indoor and outdoor seating plus takeout and delivery. Dogs are welcome on the patio. Around St. Patrick's Day, the parking lot turns into a party with a lineup of bands playing into the night.
