Monica Maccioni, a graduate of Bologna's gelato school who grew up in Sardinia, makes the flavors served at this La Jolla shop a short walk from the Cove. The case runs to eighteen options, including a vegan pistachio made with rice milk alongside rose honey and berry lavender, all churned from organic California milk and fresh fruit. Outside, the patio looks directly over La Jolla Cove.
