K1 Speed

A 48,574-square-foot former industrial warehouse near Petco Park and the Gaslamp Quarter now holds K1 Speed's downtown San Diego location, converted with seismic bracing, HVAC upgrades, and custom epoxy flooring. Adult and junior electric karts hit close to 45 mph on the quarter-mile indoor track, and the building also holds an arcade, private meeting rooms, and the Paddock Lounge restaurant serving burgers and pizza. Racers can walk in and drive without a reservation, though groups of eight or more book dedicated race-time packages.
