A pair of vintage JBL speakers, a Paragon and a Hartsfield, anchor the back room at this Walker Street bar, opened in 2024 by Yuji Fukushima, who also co-owns the Blue in Green denim shop nearby. The room is built for sitting and listening rather than talking, playing mostly vinyl from Fukushima's own collection: Miles Davis, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder. Ninety-minute slots in that room carry a two-drink minimum and a strict no-photos rule, and there's no live music despite the record collection on display. Out front, the bar pours an extensive list of Japanese whiskey and shochu alongside udon, dumplings and edamame.
