Gowanus Gardens

Kelly Hayes runs the day-to-day at this Fourth Avenue bar, with her son Liam O'Brien, formerly of Danny Meyer's Daily Provisions, running the kitchen and Gary Giddens behind the bar. The backyard seats about fifty under strings of lights, past a tunnel of plastic flowers over the jukebox. Wings, fried pickles with Russian dressing, musubi and pernil buns come out of that kitchen, alongside a dozen rotating beers on tap. It's 21-and-up after 8pm.
