Arlo Williamsburg

Michaelis Boyd designed this eight-story hotel, working reclaimed materials into the upholstery and running floor-to-ceiling windows through the lobby. Its rooftop holds a 40-foot pool and 360-degree skyline views from the Water Tower Bar, named for a mural by street artist Ryan Wilson, known as ThankYouX, called "Subtle Reminders." Poolside service covers cocktails and light bites, and a separate ground-floor Lobby Bar pairs reclaimed wood with its own rainbow art installation. Exposed brick and pendant lighting carry the look from the lobby up through the rooms.
