Folks Pizzeria

This is the second Folks, a Costa Mesa pizzeria Joey Booterbaugh and Chloe Tran started in 2019, and it sits in the old Helms Bakery complex among the furniture showrooms. Pies are 14 inches on a sourdough crust, red ones like fennel sausage and pepperoni with fresh and aged mozzarella, white ones like mushroom. Order the Caesar or the wings first, with the house ranch. A full bar mixes classic cocktails and pours beer and natural wine, and the patio has heaters and blankets. Yelp handles reservations and the walk-in waitlist, which texts you when a table opens.
