Behind enormous wooden front doors in Brentwood, Baltaire pairs a mid-century dining room of floor-to-ceiling glass with an outdoor terrace and a separate lounge for cocktails. Executive chef Samuel Jung runs a kitchen of steaks and grilled seafood, plus California-style sides like spicy salmon crispy rice. Live music plays in the lounge Thursday and Friday nights, and weekend brunch comes with a cinnamon roll wheeled tableside on a cart.
