The steep-roofed building on Washington Boulevard was an IHOP first and later Roy Choi's A-Frame. Since October 2025 Ray Garcia has run it as a neighborhood version of Broken Spanish, his downtown restaurant that closed in 2020. Refried lentils beaten with quesillo come over from the original menu, joined by duck meatballs in chipotle, a rolled pork-belly chicharrón and hand-pressed blue-corn tortillas. The small bar pours from a long mezcal list, part of it bought from the closed Petty Cash Taqueria. Walk-ins are taken, and the room gets loud once it fills.
