Izakaya Osen

In the old Wood space on Sunset in Silver Lake, this izakaya has a patio and its own parking lot, and the seats at the sushi counter face the chefs. The menu runs through sashimi, rolls, grilled skewers and hot pots, and owner Damon Cho's years at Nobu show in the yellowtail with jalapeño and the miso sea bass. You can bring a bottle that isn't on their list for a corkage fee, but not spirits.
