A storefront in Pasadena holds two full-motion flight simulators -- a Boeing 737 MAX and an Airbus A320 -- built to feel every takeoff, turn and landing rather than just show them on a screen. An instructor sits alongside for the whole session, walking a first-timer through yoke or sidestick controls, engine management and a real cockpit's worth of switches. Sessions run by appointment only and last under two hours at the longest, closer to an unusual date than a flight lesson.
