The entrance is disguised inside a pressed-juice and ice-cream stall in Old Town Pasadena, leading down to a basement Leo Temory built to house his collection of rare spirits, including Japanese whiskey served with water he imports specifically for it. Four thousand gold skulls and erotic art cover the walls, and the cocktail list runs to theatrical presentations: one drink arrives with a small wooden figure set on fire, another with a mirror. Food keeps pace with the drinks: Japanese milk bread, salmon crispy rice.
