Marco and Arlene Pacelli scouted this stretch of Torrance Boulevard by sitting outside and counting foot traffic before signing a lease in 2019. Four tables fill the dining room, so ordering a bowl of cacio e pepe or a pappardelle bolognese usually means chatting with whoever's sitting next to you. The kitchen also turns out Roman-style pizza by the sheet, made with dough that ferments for three days. Regulars get to know Arlene by name and sometimes leave with a scoop of gelato on the house.
