Old Tony's

Fishnet ceilings hold colored glass floats and globe lights over eight walls of windows facing the Pacific, with a firefighter's hat hanging from each of the ceiling beams. Tony Trutanich Sr., a World War II veteran and commercial fisherman, opened the place as a shack on the pier in 1952, expanding the dining room in 1961 and adding a crow's-nest bar on the roof in 1965. His son runs it now. Decades of celebrity headshots line the stairs, left up whether or not the faces are still famous, and a gift shop called Hat and Things sits by the exit.
