Before opening this Normandie Avenue spot in 2018, its owners ran Hawaiian restaurants in Kona and Las Vegas. Order at the counter and build a mixed plate from two proteins, the sweet-and-sticky furikake fried chicken and grilled kalbi are the pair to get, alongside ahi poke and mac salad on the side. The kitchen also runs weekly specials: sweet and sour spareribs on Tuesdays, beef stew on Saturdays. It operates more as a takeout counter than a sit-down room, and the dining room closes by 8pm.
