This South Bay outpost of a Osaka chain that started in 1985 and grew past 600 locations across Japan opened as its first U.S. spot in January 2025, drawing lines from a crowd that had clearly been waiting. Skewers of nearly every part of the chicken grill over binchotan charcoal at a central counter called the Yakibar, alongside smaller plates like agedashi tofu and karaage. The room reads more like a modern restaurant than the pubs the chain is known for back home, and the chicken yuzu ramen draws its own following on weekends when the wait for a table gets long.
