A crane lowered the cement Morelli pizza oven into place before the rest of the room went up around it. Chef Michelangelo Aliaga, previously of Cecconi's in West Hollywood, runs a menu of housemade pasta, wood-fired pizza and Mediterranean fish built on San Marzano tomatoes and other sourced ingredients across the restaurant's 4,500 square feet. Co-owner Lou Giovannetti, a Broadway performer, sings with a pianist on Friday and Saturday evenings from 6 to 9, and a private room called Rocco's Room seats up to 35 for groups.
