Ellie's

Chef Jason Witzl runs the kitchen at Ellie's, a Southern Italian spot in Long Beach's Alamitos Beach neighborhood with a big front patio and a small dining room behind it. Pasta is made by hand daily, and the tagliatelle comes tossed with shrimp and 'nduja; a side of grilled bread with pork butter turns up on tables almost as often as the pasta does. Witzl moves between the kitchen and the room himself, and reservations run through Resy, since street parking gets tight after dark.
