A Korean convenience store is the model here, a wall of snacks and drinks up front and a self-serve ramyun counter behind it. Order a packet of instant noodles, run it through the shop's water-heating machine, then pile on free vegetables and extra toppings before finding a seat. The same counter pours protein shakes, fruit smoothies, and fresh juices for anyone skipping the noodles. It opened as the format's first US location, with a second store since added in Santa Clarita.
