Supamu spent years as a food truck and a rotation of pop-ups before opening this storefront, which it bills as the first Okinawa-style onigiri shop in Southern California. The rice balls come wrapped sandwich-style in nori instead of the usual triangle, filled with combinations like SPAM and tamago, kimchi and corn, or a curry croquette version. There's outdoor seating for eating on the spot, plus takeout, delivery and catering for the rest.
