Opened in 2023, Lorenzo California is a Florentine sandwich counter, the first of its kind in Los Angeles, built around focaccia baked fresh each morning. The Cotto stacks imported prosciutto and brie under truffle cream and lemon zest. The Salamino piles on shaved-to-order salami with olive oil-soaked artichokes and parmigiano pate. Seating is limited to a few tables inside and out front on the sidewalk, so some regulars carry their order two blocks to Beverly Gardens Park.
