Arthur Sherman came on as Or Amsalam's partner in 2022, after Alex Phaneuf left, having been a regular at the counter before that. The Culver City flagship on Washington Boulevard was once all outdoor patio; an indoor dining room added in 2025 doubled its seating. The counter turns out cardamom knots and sourdough croissants in plain, chocolate, almond, and ham-and-cheese versions, plus sandwiches, salads, and shakshuka made with the bakery's own naturally leavened dough. Lodge Bread has picked up two James Beard semifinalist nods for its bread.
