Mercedes worked as a waitress at restaurants around Venice for sixteen years before opening her own spot, where she's both owner and executive chef. The menu mixes Cuban, Brazilian, Jamaican, Mexican, and Portuguese cooking into one line-up: ceviche, enchiladas, steak chimichurri, and a Cuban pork sandwich. The bar runs its happy hour from 2 to 6pm daily, two hours earlier than most nearby spots. Expect a busy, loud room rather than a quiet corner table.
