Casablanca

This Venice restaurant has served the neighborhood since 1980, decorated wall to wall in memorabilia from the 1942 Humphrey Bogart film it's named for, though the menu is Mexican rather than Moroccan. A cart wheels fresh margaritas table to table while cooks hand-press tortillas in the main dining room and a band plays live. The calamari steak is the dish regulars order, alongside a grande burrito or a skillet of fajitas, off a menu that's barely changed in decades.
