A sister operation to Gjelina down the street, this bakery and deli has been one of the busiest daytime spots in Venice for over a decade. The patio is garden-esque and tree-shaded, big enough to hold the crowds that build around the pastry case for the baklava croissant, pecan roll, and cinnamon knot, plus a smoked fish counter and a tuna sandwich stacked on thick sourdough. Ordering runs on a ticket system that can turn chaotic at peak hours, and there's no dedicated parking lot, so weekday mornings beat weekend ones.
