El Moro Echo Park

El Moro opened its Echo Park location in January 2026 inside the former Patra Burgers building, rebuilt over eight months into a 1,500-square-foot shop with a covered patio and a mural by local artist Ozzie Juarez. The churreria traces to 1935 and the original Churreria El Moro in Mexico City; here the churros come in long spirals fried crisp and tossed in cinnamon sugar, meant for dunking in hot chocolate that ranges from a cinnamon Mexicano to a corn-thickened champurrado. There's also a Consuelo, a churro split and packed with strawberry or vanilla ice cream, and parking in the attached lot on Laveta Terrace.
