The Echo Park branch of this taco-stand chain runs the whole operation on the sidewalk, with a spit of trompo-shaved al pastor turning near a salsa bar and a line that forms most nights. Handmade corn tortillas are pressed and seared to order under tacos of smoky grilled asada or al pastor finished with a flick of pineapple. Regulars order to go and carry their plates up the hill to Everett Park, eating on the grass with the downtown skyline in view.
