A basement space beneath The Georgian Hotel on Ocean Avenue, open since 1933 and once a draw for Clark Gable and Bugsy Siegel, reopened under renovation in 2023. Getting in means buzzing a doorbell and covering your phone camera with a privacy sticker before being seated in the 1930s-style dining room. The kitchen runs an Italian steakhouse menu built around the chophouses of Tuscany, with a hazelnut-crusted lamb rack, oxtail ragu and a buttery New York strip. A jazz singer performs most nights next to a vintage Steinway.
