Scarantino's Italian Inn

Red-checked tablecloths, brown booths and a mural of the Venice canals across the back wall set the room. Jesse and Joan Scarantino opened it in 1967 and their nephew Jim took over in 1977, still cooking his grandmother's recipes. Minestrone comes with dinner, the meatballs are rolled in house, and photos by the restrooms show the little league and softball teams the family has sponsored over the years.
