Tin cans and string lights cover the ceiling above old wooden tables and rickety chairs, an overhead flourish from designer Steven Arroyo that has been there since Bruce Marder's son Max opened the place in 2014. The menu wanders across Europe without much fuss: tartines, a Caesar, rigatoni bolognese, steak frites, a cheeseburger. Drinks stop at beer and wine, which keep pouring for two hours after the kitchen closes, and the young crowd tends to stay for all of it.
