Anajak Thai Cuisine

On Tuesdays this Sherman Oaks restaurant hands the dining room and its alley over to Thai Taco Tuesday, a rotating run of tacos and tostadas such as striped bass fish tacos and a kampachi tostada. Other nights bring the regular menu of curries, wok-fired noodles and Southern Thai fried chicken, with a wine list drawn from the Mosel, Champagne and Burgundy. Rick Pichetrungsi opened it in 1981; his son Justin took over the kitchen in 2019 and won a James Beard award in 2023. Every service is by reservation and books out a week or more ahead, and the alley and sidewalk tables have heaters.
