The Buffalo Club

Anthony Yerkovich, who created Miami Vice, bought a dive bar on what was then an industrial stretch of Olympic Boulevard, gutted it and in 1994 reopened it as a Prohibition-style supper club. The indoor Iroquois Room has a mahogany bar, burgundy leather booths and a coffered ceiling. Outside, tables sit in an English garden courtyard lined with privet hedges and night-blooming jasmine. Patrick Healy, who trained in France under Alain Ducasse and has run the kitchen since before the doors opened, cooks American dishes alongside small plates. It serves dinner only, and the club asks guests to dress up.
