The Smoke House

Across Lakeside Drive from the Warner Bros. lot, this Tudor-style steakhouse keeps its dark wood walls hung with black-and-white photos of old movie stars. Booths are red leather, tables get white cloths, and people order prime rib, wedge salads, steak Sinatra over linguine and the garlic cheese bread. On Friday and Saturday nights a band plays in the dim lounge behind the pink neon "cocktails" sign, where a small horseshoe bar sits among the tables. La La Land shot a scene here. The restaurant opened in 1946 and moved into this building in 1949.
