The Little Tokyo branch of a Long Beach Indian restaurant is on the ground floor of the AVA Little Tokyo apartment building, and unlike the original it has a patio. Manjunath Mural, chef of Song of India in Singapore, oversees a menu that borrows from other cuisines: butter chicken baked under puff pastry as a pot pie, eggplant bharta layered like lasagna, lobster in Thai panang curry. Dinner comes with 90 minutes of validated parking in the AVA garage. The drinks list runs to cocktails with chili-dusted rims, lassis and other zero-proof drinks.
